RIP My Friend - NICK

Yesterday a friend of mine called me up and told me that he heard from another friend (complicated huh!) that my friend Nick passed away. And of coz I asked for further details. But he couldn't answer me coz he also heard from his friend, and perhaps the news has spread over a few hands.

My immediate reflection was to call him on the spot. Gosh, couldn't get through. I started to get panicked. Called him for a few times but got the same response. Immediately I called JoJo, her immediate response was shock as well, which means that she was not aware of this thing. Well, to comfort myself, probably that was just a rumour. You know lah, nowadays rumours are spread all over after adding salt and sugar and eventually it became so true.

This afternoon I called Tythis up to verify this and I suggested him to contact another friend who is known as "CNN". After a few minutes Tythus called back and said that it's another friend that he knows actually passed away. I was quite relieved, but at the same time felt sad for that friend, eventhough I don't know him.

Just now Patrick sent me a message in msn asking whether I still remember Nick. Shit, him again?

Yes, he's really passed away. His friends even setup a blog for this. He's got pneumonia during his holidays at Pangkor. What is this? I just saw him 3 weeks ago!

Apart from that, received a call from a long lost friend just now as well I was told that he met with an accident three months ago. He's got with him his friend who's only 18 years old. He friend passed away in the accident, and he was just merely injured!

Life is so fragile, you will not know what happens in the next minutes. So guys, appreciate whatever you have and treasure people around you.

Nick, rest in peace and we will always miss you .......

Depressed

If woman experiences her tough time (period) once a month, I think I'm also having this symptom, but once a year. Since a few years back, everytime around this time (June - August), I tend to feel a bit depressed. Depressed because of what?

Work - no!
Woman - Definitely no!
Money - Probably, but not that main issue!

Then what is it that causes me depressed? Frankly speaking, I myself also dunno. Just that I will feel that life is meaningless. I think I have written this in one of my previous blogs. I am quite happy with my job, doing something that I enjoy. Being single life, is that a problem? Definitely not a problem. I am currently single and happy. So please do not try to introduce someone to me. Furthermore, I need more time for myself. What a self-centered guy! Money, I don't mind you giving me some, because money is always not enough for me.

Every year I wish that this period passes by fast. Until certain extend I actually thought of committing suicide. Scary right? Don't worry, that's just "think" not do.

Well, life still goes on .....

Princess Celine

Celine, my closest colleage and friend, finally left the company last week. Knowing here for almost 3 years plus, we have gone through a lot!

Let me describe her physcial appearance. Stunning? Pretty? Gorgeous? You name it. She's basically a pretty girl, but I seldom praise her, especially in front of herself, coz don't want to make her proud. Ya, I do admit that she's a pretty girl.

She came in when my big brother Eugene was gonna leave the company. And she's was just sitting beside me. I still remember the fun time we had after our boss, Sue-Ann joined us in the big family. And of coz I admitted something that I won't do in front of other people, except them. Why? Coz I think this bunch of girls are very truthworthy. True enough, until today they are still keeping this secret for me. Thanks!

Throughout these 3 years, we have worked together a lot of times, thousands of time I should say. A lot of people actually suspected that there are something between both of us. Some even asked me directly,"Are you with her? or Why don't you consider her?" Wei, can't a guy and a girld just be friend? Must they be couple if they close to each other? Well, we denied all this while until one day I tested out on one colleague. I actually said "Yes" after she asked me the same question all over again, and again. Surprisingly, from then onwards, she didn't ask me anymore. Probably she knew that it's not true and she wouldn't waste anytime on us anymore. Ha ha!

We went to karaoke a few times. Celine said she likes to hear me singing. Is my voice really that good? How I wish I can kill people with my voice. And remember "In Love With You"? We like to sing when we go karaoke, but always fails to sing peacefully because other people will be talking at the side. Only until her farewell last Wednesday, we finally gotta sing the whole song, without DISTURBANCE! I really appreciated that, and that's one of the best duets that I have ever had. BRAVO!

I'm gonna say to her, "I WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU!" Life is gonna be different without you. But don't worry, we still got a lot of chances to meet each other. Wish you all the best and happy in your new job.

Chinese New Year 2008

Hey, I know, I know ... Chinese New Year has passed few months already. But since my colleague said that my blog only talks about nothing but work, so boring, so I have decided to post something different lor.

Yes, Chinese New Year has already passed longggg time ago, but it seems that I have not gone back hometown. When I told my colleagues and friends that I took 2 week off, their first response was, "Wah, sooooo long .....!" But seriously, it's just clips of eyes..... so fast!

Went back hometown, my beloved Miao Miao City on the 1 February. Guess what! I had a Chinese New Year gift right before I went back. A day before I went shoping at Carrefour to do some last minute shopping. After "kao tim" everything and when driving out from the complex, my car was knocked by a van, driven by an old uncle. So my CNY mood was totally spoiled at that moment. "What am I going to do? I am going back tommorrow," I told myself.

However, thanks for Matt who works for Kurnia, which happened to be my Car Insurance company, helped me through out, like how to claim and so on. So I spent about 1.5 stupid hours at the Police Station. And in the end I was given a summon some more. Next time I should learn how to lie .... gosh.

So the next morning, just before I flew back home. Went to claim my insurance, so called "Kurnia Express", and seriously it sucks! In the brochure it was stated that you can get your claim in one hour's time. It's a lie!!!!! Anyway, there's no hurry. So I quickly went to the workshop and asked about the quotation. Not bad, quite reasonable, but hey, it's still money! So finally I went in the flight for my CNY with my beloved car in the workshop throughout the whole CNY.

As usual my buddies Ryan and Eugene came and fetched me from the aiport. So touched! Ha ha. By the way, they are coming next Thursday, and I am going to fetch them from LCCT. Promise!

As this year my elder brother only went back on the 3rd day of CNY, I had a lot of more things to do this year. Spent quite sometime to clean the house. Gosh, the HI-FI system was full of dust. Ya, Mum said that she doesn't dare to touch the things cause scared she would damage them. Ha ha! So now it's my responsibility to clean all these "antiques". Decorated my house as well. Well, don't expect much from a guy like me ok! Took some pictures, it's simple and nice, I think.

Dad came back on 3 February. Just like past years I went to airport to fetch him with my niece, Ivy. Wow, she's now 7 years old, and SUPER HYPERACTIVE! I totally lost to her, man. She was running around the airport like a monkey!

Campus Visit

This morning a school came to visit our campus. This happens to be their "annual event", campus visiting cum shopping! The counsellor is quite supportive towards the University College as she will definitely bring her students here every year. Believe it, girl school is always seemed to be easier to handle. Very obedient and attentive students. Started off with video presentation. I guess some of them didn't have enough sleep the night before, they actually took that time to "re-energise" themselves - SLEEP! After that had a talk on different careers. Probably they are still too young, so it was quite boring for them. Then my colleague took over and conducted a career test for them. It was quite interesting as they were actively involved in the workshop. Before heading for lunch, I gave them a short game, with punishment! Whichever comes back last will have to sing us a song in the middle of the car park, during the time when our own students finish their class. Like others, nobody wants to be a loser. They were really proactive in looking for all the things I required. Bravo! However, due to time constraint, I did not punish them, and guess what, I was "boo-ed"! Too much ... ha ha! Instead the top 2 teams were given prizes. I guess the programme that students enjoyed most was the lunch. Yummy ...... Took group photos before they adjourned to some other destinations. Took sometime in the afternoon to prepare for 2 posters and gonna send to them as a memory. What a tiring, but enjoyable day .....

Rita's Farewell

We are gonna have a farewell lunch for Rita, our beloved Customer Service Assistant. An indian who possesses good command of Chinese, even better than mine. My colleague actually asks her to check the Chinese version advert, and not me! What a shame .... anyway I really hope it's the last farewell I organise for this year, if possible for another year. Rita .... ALL THE BEST!
